Six whistleblowers*, all participants in the original official investigation, will break their silence on the cause of the explosion and crash of TWA Flight 800 on July 17, 1996 after take-off for Paris from JFK Airport on Long Island NY.  These investigators were not allowed to speak to the public or refute any comments made by their superiors and/or NTSB and FBI officials about their work at the time of the official investigation. They waited until after retirement to reveal how the official conclusion by the National Traffic Safety Board (NTSB) was falsified and lay out their case in a new original documentary film which will premiere on premium TV network EPIX on July 17, 2013 at 8:00PM edt.

They will file a petition with the NTSB, along with eyewitnesses and members of the families of some of those who died in the crash, to reopen the investigation.

Based on the trifecta of elements necessary to any investigation–forensic evidence, first-hand sources and corroborating eyewitnesses who don’t know each other–this team of investigators who actually handled the wreckage and victims’ bodies, prove that the officially proposed fuel-air explosion did not cause the crash.  They also provide radar and forensic evidence proving that one or more ordnance explosions outside the aircraft caused the crash. They do not speculate about the source or sources of the ordnance explosions.

Two of the investigators will be available on the conference phone call along with the physicist, Tom Stalcup, who independently investigated the causes of the crash and co-produced the film with Emmy award winning journalist Kristina Borjesson.

WHO:
Hank Hughes, Senior Accident Investigator, National Transportation Safety Board (laid out the matrix for the reconstruction of the entire aircraft and was chairman of the Airplane Interior Documentation Group that reconstructed TWA 800s interior).

Bob Young, Senior Accident Investigator, TWA  (top TWA investigator who oversaw TWA team members on virtually all the investigative groups associated with the crash and was himself a member of the Eyewitness Group).

Jim Speer, Accident Investigator for Airline Pilots Association (sifted through much of the physical evidence in hangar and found first explosives residue on right wing part).

Tom Stalcup, PhD, Physics.  Widely considered one of the best independent investigators of the TWA Flight 800 crash.  Co-Founder of the Flight 800 Independent Researchers Organization, Stalcup has amassed what is arguably the largest private archive of documents on the crash. Has filed numerous lawsuits and FOIA requests for previously unreleased documents and appeared widely in the media as an expert in the case.
